NTHS Induction Ceremony

Fourteen students at Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) for the 2007-2008 school year. The students were recognized during the NTHS ceremony held recently in the seminar center with guest speaker Mike Swinehart, an instructional director at Pioneer Tech.
Swinehart’s message emphasized the importance of choosing success and over coming obstacles which in turn reiterated the NTHS mission to work to promote service, leadership, honesty, career development, and to reward student achievement. NTHS serves as the benchmark for excellence in workforce education by encouraging students to set goals and challenging them to give their best. NTHS also helps students to build important workplace values that are in demand by business and industry.
The following students were recognized and given a certificate along with honor cords for their achievements: from Business and Information Technology Education (BITE),Darwin Bell and Ashley Dittman; from Cosmetology, Josiah Abelo, Tiffany Beliel, Jessica N. Glover, Janine Hageberg and Jack McGuire; from Early Care and Education, Danielle Hertz; from Health Careers Certification, Stephanie Douglas; from Machine Tool Technology, Cameron Reeves; from Practical Nursing, Heather Chantel Rogers; from Welding Technology, Jacob Hill, James McMillen and Tyler Rudd.
