Eaton has over 12 years experience in the industry. Sooner Heating and Air provides maintenance and installation services for all heating and air conditioning units.

Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) welcomes the newest tenant, Sooner Heating & Air to the Small Business Incubator Program. The company, owned and operated by Walter Eaton, provides service and repair for all makes and models of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and accessories. Sooner Heating & Air also installs new equipment for both residential and commercial customers.

Eaton, a native of Osage County and a graduate of Hominy High School, brings extensive heating and air conditioning experience to the community. He relocated to Ponca City in 1994 after graduating from OSU Okmulgee, with an Associates of Applied Science Degree, in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology. Eaton’s background includes twelve years of experience in service and repair of all types of commercial and residential heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Walter is an Unlimited Mechanical Contractor, licensed by the State of Oklahoma. He also holds an Environmental Protection Agency Universal Refrigerant Certification.

According to Bonnie Cook, PTC’s self employment training coordinator and business incubator manager, the Business Incubator at PTC has been helping young businesses and companies make their start since 1991.

"The Business Incubator provides entrepreneurs with a supportive network necessary to increase their probability of survival during the crucial early years when they are most vulnerable," stated Cook.

Some of the benefits of starting a business in the incubator include access to business consultants, on-site professional services, copy machines, fax machines computers, secretarial services, and conference rooms. PTC's incubator has seven manufacturing spaces ranging from 800-1,800 square feet with an additional office space of about 100 square feet. All spaces contain an overhead door, water, individual heat and air, electrical outlets, 220 wiring, and compressed air.
