Advanced Welding Institute

Pioneer Technology Center’s Advanced Welding Institute is designed to meet the needs of local businesses and the workforce that provides skilled labor. Training can be customized to meet industry requirements.

The Advanced Welding Institute program focuses on industry specific advanced welding techniques, delivered in a competency based format during flexible class times. The trainers work with Pioneer Tech staff, the Ponca City Economic Development Authority, and industry partners to oversee the enrollment of students and industry clients.

The Advanced Welding Institute helps individuals sharpen their welding skills to meet current industry requirements and American Welding Society Standards in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW processes on plate and pipe, and cutting skills training using oxyfuel, air carbon, and plasma arc processes.
